NH Broadband Mapping Initiative Speed Test

The NH Broadband Mapping Initiative is using the Breaking Point Solutions, LLC Speed Test interface to gain insight into internet speeds available in New Hampshire. Speed tests provide an important mechanism to analyze internet access and speed throughout the state and will assist the Office of Broadband Initiatives to direct funding to areas of the state that are underserved or unserved by the internet. By running a speed test from this site, you will be helping to improve internet access throughout New Hampshire. More specifically:

• Speed tests are a way to measure the speed at which a device can communicate with other connected devices via the internet
• Speed test applications send packets of data ("bytes") from your device to a server to determine the time that it takes to complete a round trip
• Speed test results report downstream and upstream speeds, latency, and jitter

Use the application below to find downstream and upstream speeds at your current location. To run the speed test, follow the instructions provided. For best results:

• Turn off your VPN, if one is running
• Do not stream videos while running the test
• Enter as exact an address as possible
• Tests run from mobile devices are discouraged
